
Core Competencies
The Department of Nursing at Yuan Ze University aims to cultivate competent nursing professionals who, upon graduation, possess the following ten core competencies:
Originally based on eight essential competencies in nursing education:

- General Clinical Nursing Skills
- Ethical Literacy
- Critical Thinking
- Communication and Teamwork
- Compassion
- Professional Responsibility
- Lifelong Learning
In addition, two competencies have been added to reflect the university’s values and the development of smart healthcare:
- Creativity – aligned with Yuan Ze University’s motto.
- Smart Nursing – in response to the College of Medical and Health Sciences’ focus on intelligent healthcare.
